User Testing and Prototyping

Virtual Ward Project

I built prototypes for the Virtual Ward project to test ideas with a user early and evaluate how the design worked in a real home care context. This helped me gather feedback, identify what needed refining, and make design decisions based on evidence rather than assumption.

Frugal design project – designing an orthotic for South Asian women working in agriculture

This was a prototyping project centred on frugal design principles. I produced a wide range of prototypes that tackled the bone setting problem in different ways, using varied materials and fastening methods. I also 3D scanned the user’s foot so I could repeatedly test and refine the form for a better fit. Throughout the process, I gathered feedback on comfort, tightness, and how easily the user could walk.
